Sharon Yoon FROM New Jersey, USA

As an American graduate student studying in Japan for one year, I experienced a lot of difficulty looking for an apartment in Tokyo. Most Japanese real estate agents apparently have strict policies regarding foreigners. Even though I can read and speak Japanese, the vast majority turned me down once they found out I did not have a Japanese passport.

It was thus, very refreshing to meet Shinichi at Hikari Home. He was not only willing to deal with me, but also very friendly and welcoming. Instead of dealing with a real estate agent, I felt like I had made a new friend in Japan who was willing to help me find a nice place to stay for the year. I cannot recount how many times I felt like he went out of his way to make sure I was completely satisfied with my living conditions.

As someone who has spent a lot of time looking for an apartment in Tokyo, I am confident that Hikari Home is the best option. The apartment I ended up getting in Shibuya was very beautiful; exceeding my expectations. And for the quality of the place and location, the cost is quite reasonable.
